Candelight Vigil Against Violence: In Memory of Kewaii Rogers-Buckner

A candle-light vigil will be held Sunday, May 31, 2009 in the memory of Kewaii Rogers. The event will begin at 5:00 p.m. at the Lumberton High School Gym, and will continue through Main Street and end at Wood Hinton Park.

Oh Kewaii, you're now an advocate
you did not die in vain.
Your message is so loud and clear
to stop violence again.

Kewaii, as we remember you
in our memory,
And as you fly on eagle's wings
you are now truly free.

  1. Sorry to hear about the young man, violence isn't good for anyone! Unfortunately violence is apart of the human spirit and, as long as we are on this earth, you are going to have violence. Some people can't or refuse, to take an intelligent approach to they're problem's. Glad to see their are some in your town, that are clear minded and, clear thinking human being's. Again sorry to hear of this tragedy.

    Oh yeah!
    Your Bio says your male.
