Another Bad Trade?????

Image
At the February board meeting, our elected officials went into executive session to discuss what they deemed "the sale of property" but they were actually discussing a trade with Lamar County. According to Crider, they needed to make a decision because it was a done deal but according to an article in the Hatteisburg American "there still remains some details to work out." Based on the article, it was hard to tell who initiated this deal that will result in the City of Lumberton losing a building that would cost $1,000,000 to build today in exchange for a vacant building and 5 acres of land. It looks like another win win for Lamar County and another bad business deal for the City of Lumberton. If you're a sports fan, you're familiar with lop-sided trades. For instance, the time the Vikings gave Dallas a dynasty for Herschel Walker. How about the time when the Baltimore Colts traded John Elway to the Denver Broncos or when the Atla...

Liars and Buyers

Image
I didn't plan on blogging today but when I logged onto the Hattiesburg American I saw an article entitled "A trade in the future for Lumberton armory?" Before I discuss the article, I would like to discuss the inflated water bills we received. Prior to the meeting, there were several stories regarding the late water bills; stories ranged from blaming the post office to blaming the customers. At the meeting, nothing was said about the late water bills and there was not mention of any adjustments regarding the due date. One of the reasons why they don't hold Merlene accountable for her lack of professionalism is because they know the water bills do not contain a post mark. We know we received the water bills late but we can't prove it because they can say they were delivered to the post office on time but we don't actually see when they were received by the post office. When Merlene tried to explain why the water bills were higher than...

Be The Change....

As you know, this is an election year for the City of Lumberton and other surrounding municipalities. For years, self-serving agendas have ruled Lumberton. We complain about the people ruining our city but we're not willing to give others an opportunity to show leadership through service; something that's lacking from this and previous administrations. Lumberton is on life support and a mortician has the authority to pull the plug. Do you really think a person that specializes in death is capable or willing to support life. Death is his bread and butter and Lumberton's corpse is just another opportunity to put more money in his pockets. Over the weekend, those currently serving on the board were at various events gathering signatures in order to have their names placed on the ballot. Each candidate is looking to get re-elected. All of the candidates have made their intentions known except for Tommy Dukes, Jr. He's collecting signatures but...

Alternative Blacks and their Alternative Facts

Image
We're on the eve of the second regular scheduled board meeting of 2017 and those elected to represent the City of Lumberton are not conducting themselves in a professional manner. Since the last board meeting, where the board members decided to show they fully support an employee that committed a criminal act while on the clock, the board members and the city clerk have tried to set up road blocks in an attempt to build a case against me. Those of you that read and/or troll the blog, you noticed there were several attempts to show their full support of Danny Davis. Your current mayor, Kent Crider, went to the Lamar County Library Board meeting with a slew of misinformation; he said the assault started outside, that some disgusting language that he could not repeat was disseminated using the library's internet service, that he's planning to organize a ban of the Lumberton Public Library and he also proved he was not well versed in any laws...

Common Core and Controlled Substances: The Secret Life of a Teacher

Image
On January 19, 2017, Ramona Ellen Bennett, second grade teacher at Lumberton Elementary School, was arrested for the sale of a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a school or church. The arrest happened almost two weeks ago, but the general public just found out about the arrest over the weekend. At the time of this blog post, the school administrative office was closed but I'm interested to know if she is still employed by the Lumberton School District? As you know, certain people that commit crimes in Lumberton are given a pass. Perhaps she was selling the drugs on her lunch break or after school. The City of Lumberton Board of Aldermen used that analogy to justify Danny Davis's assault against me. They said they were not liable because he was a salaried employee and the assault happened on his lunch break (at 9:30 in the morning). As soon as the office open, I will call to see if she was at least suspended after getting charged wi...

Dogs Eating From the Master's Table???

Image
Last year, there were rumors about the state of the National Guard Armory. At one meeting, there was speculation that the building was getting sold for $10,000. Calls made to city hall regarding the matter were rather evasive; the clerks would neither confirm or deny the pending sale of the building that was gifted to the City of Lumberton. Besides the rumor mill, there was a sighting of the proposed buyer meeting with Lumberton's city attorney at Dan's in Hattiesburg. At first, I didn't know what was going on but after a little digging I started to wonder why the City of Lumberton didn't give the building to Lamar County since they wanted the building and the City of Lumberton was not able to maintain the facility. After hearing that Kent Crider was itching to sale give away the building for $10,000, I wanted to know why he was so adamant about keeping the building out of the hands of Lamar County but whenever Crider is involved there's prob...

Co-Workers or Co-Conspirators?

Image
Last week I announced that I was going to blog about something I discovered. Unfortunately, I was not able to get all the pieces of the puzzle because of the storm that hit the Pine Belt. The story may be delayed but it will get posted as soon as I get my hands on the other information. The person that was supposed to send me the links I need is currently dealing with the aftermath of an actual storm. I may not get to blog the rest of the week because of a change in my schedule but as soon as I get copies of the information, I will post them on the blog. Now in other news..... As you know, today was supposed to be the court date regarding the charges filed against Daniel Davis and the assault that took place at the Lumberton Public Library while he was duty as an employee of the City of Lumberton. After I listed to the video tape of the department heads that included Mayor Kent Crider bragging that they have Judge Anderson in their pockets and that "he's waiting on ...

On Guard: Kent's Krazy Kiniption Fitz Against Lamar County

Image
The video of the meeting with the Lamar County Library Board is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the dysfunctionality of Lumberton's elected and appointed officials. Before Crider's misguided rant at the meeting, he was giving more misinformation in an interview with the Lamar Times . For some reason, Crider is seemingly at a loggerhead with Lamar County officials; except for his pocket judge Bill Anderson. In last week's edition of the Lamar Times it was noted that the Lamar County Board of Supervisors want to use the National Guard Armory as a community center and possible fire station but Crider is set on selling the building instead of turning it over the Lamar County. When asked about giving the building to Lamar County, Crider responded "We would be crazy to give it to them." Normally, I would agree but Lamar County has proven that they're good stewards over the facilities that were turned over to them by the City...

The Revolution WILL Be Televised

Image
I was going to entitle this post "Jack-holes of the Year but we're in the middle of January; I'm sure there will be plenty more before this is over. I could gloat but I'm just glad that I'm finally getting video footage proving what I've blogged about for years. Blog post after blog post, the powers that be were claiming that I was telling lies but now they're coming apart at the seams because they're scrambling to silence me. I know many of you watched the video from the meeting with the Lamar County Library Board where they announced that Danny Davis was banned from the Lumberton Public Library because he assaulted me. Now you know why Lamar County is advancing while the City of Lumberton continues to fall apart. The Lamar County Library Board took actions based on evidence while the Lumberton Board of Alderpersons refused to take actions because they're emotionally involved; their dislike of me caused them to shirk their re...

The City of Lumberton vs. The Lumberton Informer

Image
One month ago, I was assaulted by a City of Lumberton employee that was on duty and one week ago I was assaulted again by more City of Lumberton employees. I'm still trying to get over the shock that no one other than my alderman, Quincy Rogers, had the integrity to call for the suspension of Daniel "Danny" Davis. Thankfully, others were in attendance to see the miscarriage of their duties take (that's one reason why I didn't blog a review of the meeting). Moments before Kent Crider laughed at a citizen when she was asking for an explanation about the desecration of her father's grave, he yelped like a kid that had his candy taken from him at recess, when he said "you didn't do anything when he was saying all those things about us in his blog!" Bingo. In that moment, it was clear that these elderly people had the mindset of an elementary student. Crider's cry explained their votes without them saying ano...

Lumberton's Coup de Gras: Death by Division

Image
"And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand." blockquote> On this the sixth day of 2017 and the City of Lumberton is more divided than ever. Just when you think the corruption that has plagued this city couldn't sink any lower you discover there's a basement. I've blogged for years and over the years I was called everything except a child of God; people constantly made up stories about me. At one point, there were blogs dedicated to blog about my blog. For years, there's been lies told about me and most of those telling the lies always posted anonymously. Despite how you feel about me, I never had to shield my identity through anonymous posts. Despite all the vitriolic commentary dedicated to speculations about my life, I never assaulted anyone because I knew they were lies. In this county, in this withering town, everyone loves freedom of speech as long as they agree with your speech. I still find ...

O, Ye Nominal Christians

Image
Since so many of you love to use me as a scapegoat for the failures of our elected and appointed officials, let me share something with you. I'm an avid reader. I've attended so many meetings that I know more about the laws of a code charter municipality than everyone currently on the City of Lumberton's payroll. With that being said, I'm not just whistling Dixie. My blog posts are fact based opinions; they didn't just spring full blown from the forehead of Zeus, or arrive on the scene like Topsy. They stem from years of going through minutes (when they were actually kept properly), attending meetings and researching. Sadly, in the City of Lumberton, people decide they have enough friends, family members or associates that can get them elected and they put their names on the ballot. Most of the people serving on the board never attended a meeting until they were paid to do so. In other words, they didn't get involved in the politics of t...

What's Done in the Dark....

Image
It's strange when you wake up to a bunch of inbox messages encouraging you NOT to attend the board meeting because they've heard that Danny Davis is rounding up his klan to come to the meeting and there's talk that "I'm due another ass whooping." Wait...that can't be the message conveyed by the same people that filled churches on the first day of January celebrating and thanking the Lord for another year? Of course it is. This is the little town that love to hate; they hate growth, they hate progress and they apparently hate the truth. I keep hearing these stories about how I love drama and I don't do anything but lie. If everything I post are lies then why are you so bothered? You're bothered because the TRUTH hurts. I was sitting here wondering how I was going to adjust my work schedule not knowing there's a lynch mob that's planning to gather at city hall. I guess they're planning to do a Mack Charles Parker o...

Review of 2016: The Year of the Deplorables

Image
Greetings! This is the first blog post of 2017 and I decided to give you a review of 2016. Before I begin, let me do a public service announcement and disclaimer. If you were blocked from this page and you're still viewing a page you claim is filled with inaccuracies; you're the weakest link. If you're on the clock and getting summoned to city hall to view the video and blog you claim is so upsetting; you're really a confused fan because reading and you comprehension is apparently optional. Also, if you're so bothered by the blog, why would you continuously share my posts on your page? I heard there's supposed to be a "White Out" at Tuesday's meeting. Danny's supporters are supposed to crowd the board room to convince the board members to keep their local hero on the City of Lumberton's payroll. Hopefully, I can switch shifts with someone so I can be there with you. Enough of that, let's get to today...

Pearls Before Swine: Time to Clear the Water

Image
Apples don't fall far from the tree. On Tuesday, when I arrived at city hall, there was a meeting in progress. As I rushed to go live, Danny "Daniel" Davis aka Triple D was raising more hell than a peg leg man on a tin roof because he realized he's finally disposable. Triple D has spent 30 years destroying the Public Works Department, making sure he never hire anyone that's capable of taking over the reigns of the Public Works Department. In other words, he stacked the deck to ensure he's always in control. When the board woke up and finally grew weary of the complaints about "certain" cemeteries not getting proper maintenance, reports of people taking home the city owned lawn mowers to cut their grass, water meters not getting read and Danny's perpetual cry that he's understaffed. I think we've had reports of water leaks for the past 10 years. At some point it seems like the leaks would be fixed. Sadly, there's little tru...
