Hobson's Henchmen

The other day someone said, "I hope our tax dollars aren't being wasted on personal agendas." Well, everyone in Lumberton knows why I my car was illegally towed and more than likely, it was at the behest of Bobby Gibson and Dennis Hobson. Prior to this event, the board had instructed Lindsey Carter to file an injunction against me, but I don't know how that's working out since Lindsey spent most of the last board meeting dodging Rebecca Hale and her eye rolling. Since they ran into a dead end, they decided to call on Dennis Hobson and see which of his officers had the least amount of integrity. Apparently, Ryan Byrd decided to respond to the call of duty. Ryan Byrd is the latest addition to Hobson's team of Henchmen; he's been out of the academy for six months and he's determined to treat the life-long citizens of Lumberton like they're criminals. But from what I heard, my encounter with the Angry Byrd was nothing more than a light affliction compared to other heinous act he committed over the weekend. Apparently, Ryan Byrd was responding to a call about a homeowner playing her music too loud. Well, when Byrd arrived on the scene, he allegedly had his gun cocked and loaded. Not only did he respond to the call with his firearm pulled, he was also verbally abusive to the homeowner. I know there are those that feel I deserved to be harassed by the aldermen run police department because of this blog, but what is it going to take to get the people involved. Sitting back and discussing this on facebook and on the corner is not going to bring an end to the destructive behavior of these new officers. You need to attend the board meetings and let your voices be heard.
Just last month, Hobson adopted a "Zero Tolerance" policy and used it to justify the termination/resignation of Jonathan Hosey. To make matters worse, Hosey was off the clock when he made his alleged violation. Now, we have Ryan Byrd going about trying to make a name for himself by terrorizing the citizens that pays his salary. He is not aware of the law, and if he's pulling guns on citizens after two weeks of working here, I can't imagine what he will do next. What is it going to take for the people of Lumberton to realize that this police department has spiraled out of control, but I told you this day was coming? What did you expect? When you have a liar and an alleged woman beater serving as chief, what kind of officers do you think he's going to bring into this city? The next regular scheduled board meeting is September 6, 2011; you need to be there to demand the termination of these rogue officers. Don't wait until you or your family members are harassed before taking action. Remember, if you're not part of the solution, then you are a part of the problem.

  1. WOW. . the face of evil. . .when are you going to post a pic of Ryan Byrd?

  2. Why didn't you mention Daniel Wilczek, he's just as corrupt as Ryan Byrd? I guess since you supported him, you don't want to admit that you backed a losing horse. The other night, he did get into a civilian's car to chase a suspect. After capturing Eugene Grice, brother of Ben Winston, he transported him somewhere in his Ford Expedition. I don't know if he took him to the Purvis jail or the Lumberton Police Department, but he abandonded a city patrol car because he ran out of gas. After arresting Eugene, he put him in a non-city owned vehicle. In my opinion, I think that's ground for termination. I don't know what they Lumberton Police Department is doing, but that is not standard operating procedure for any police department in this nation. And if memory serves me correctly, this is his second strike. His first was when he illegally obtained confidential information to help Roy King and now this. I think this is more than a training issue, I think he is more than willing to break the law. When Daniel was obtaining restricted documents to help Roy King, he said he couldn't sit back and watch an innocent man get railroaded. Where was he Friday night when his buddy Ryan Byrd was towing your car? Sitting on his porch, talking on the cell phone and laughing at the whole event. I guess it's okay for an innocent man to get railroaded when he's black.

  3. You know what; everybody sat back and watched, listened, and did nothing.
Everybody griped their asses off every time Franklin did anything.
Everybody showed up like the Klan at a lynching when they thought Franklin
was going to be named chief. Where yall a@@%@ at now? Somewhere hiding now that you know Franklin was doing his job, even though he acted like an a@@. But you got somebody now that is your worse nightmare.
Do like Jonathan said, show up at the next board meeting like you showed up with Franklin.
Franklin just took you to jail, Hobson gonna set you up and have his men pull guns on you.
Hobson was suspended with pay when he went to Hattiesburg and threatened a woman. He was in his patrol car, on duty, and wearing his uniform. Suspended with pay, and then given the chief’s job and a raise in salary.
But he suspended Franklin without pay for not unlocking Chief Fortenberry’s office door, then suspended again without pay and then recommended he be fired for not calling him when he had already requested a day off.
He then had Cassandra Fortenberry suspended without pay and then suspended without pay again and reomccmended she be fired because she wouldn’t come in and do time on her day off.
Daniel was suspended with pay when he gave out private information to a citizen. (Daniel thought he was gonna be the number two man when Franklin and Fortenberry were out of the way.) (Ha! Ha! Ha! to you Daniel, you let Hobson use you to do you know what to set people up). And what you get for it, a patrol car with no gas.
Hosey was suspended and then force to resign because he was helping a parent with their troubled teenager.
What the he$$ is up with this. You get kicked out when you try to do a good service and operate within the law, but you get to wear the chief badge when you threaten, bully, control, and break the law.
It is not the board fault, it is we the people sitting on our asses doing nothing.
Don’t forget our city clerk. She does send payments off for a man paying child support, and his girl friend gets arrested. She loses 80,000 and nothing. She sends in life insurance payments for policemen and nothing. The city is being put in lawsuits because of her and nothing.
For this she also gets a raise in salary
The mayor and the board get only a 1.00 in pay, but they give these two crooks a raise.

  4. You say what it is going to take Jonathan; it is going to take someone getting seriously hurt by these people, who wear badges. Everybody was commenting before, where yall at now?
Keep writing Jonathan, keep looking, keeping listening, and keep doing your part. There are others who are doing some things about it too.
Write your board, write your mayor, write the county supervisors, write your state representatives, write the attorney general, write the county sheriff, write your judges in our district, write the Meridian papers, write the Meridian news station, write the people that govern law enforcement, write the papers, write the damn governor if you have too! Put it out there about what’s going on here. Get you’re a@@ off Facebook, no don’t get off Facebook, just change your topic. Facebook about this, Twitter about this.
Every time we see the members of the board, the mayor, the police, anybody in authority, complain about the crap going on here.
Don’t yall so called bad a@@ people get quiet now, open your mouths, get your phones out, go buy some paper and stamps.
We all need to support Jonathan, cause now it’s him, next it’ll be me, then it’ll be you.
Start back watching these devils with badges, especially when they are in our neighborhoods.
Run to traffic stops like we used to do when Franklin pulled somebody over.
They can’t do nothing bout us watching if we do it from a safe distance.
Come on your porch, open your curtains, and turn on lights when these crooks are at work.
We aint gonna do nothing till one of our children is hurt by these monsters with guns. Then it’s going to be too late when we start finding our children, brothers, husbands, friends hanging from trees, found with so called self inflicted gunshot wounds, sent to prison on trumped up charges, or being set up by police patsies (ask Daniel bout this one).

  5. For whatever know it all that posted the last comment about Daniel Wilczek!!! Get your facts straight before posting comments!! Daniel had no reason to abandon his patrol car when he wasn't on duty to be driving it to begin with!!! Since you keep up with the informer so well you should keep up with the police department work shift also. And for the record he knows right from wrong!!! And just so you know he is for the RIGHT and it doesn't matter if it's black or white people. So quit trying to catagorize him.

  6. Errrybody and they grandmomma know why they're trying to shut Jonathan up. If he was telling so many lies, then why is it bothering you? If what he's saying is not based on facts, then why is Bobby Gibson using the police department to do his dirty work? I find it strange that every police officer in Lumberton knows about Bobby's LB (little boy) driving around town drund and disorderly, but no one on the police force is willing to do anything because they don't want to be fired. Bobby Gibson make more beer runs than a Budweiser truck, but he's around here acting like his family is above the law. Get ready Gip, your day is coming.

  7. Well, they do come out!
Like it was said, take it to the next board meeting lady. If your man is for the right, and I aint saying he's not right, then say something to the henchmen in charge.
And who said it was him in the abandoned car, it's probably the whole darn department. Look like they spending money on everything but gas and the upkeep of the cars anyway. But the chief has a nice black Tahoe!!

  8. How about the city of lumberton spend some money on background checks! I understand officer byrd was fired from poplarville pd for harboring a fugitive that was wanted by the us marshalls. Now that was grounds for firing in pville. I guess that was grounds for hiring in lumberton.. Wow...

  9. Just to let ya know. I was informed that Jonathan Hosey got his job based on his police officer background and military duty. I have known him my entire life. He has never been in military or on any police dept anywhere at anytime. I can tell you that he has a serious problem. He lies constantly and I dont think he can help it. Does Lumberton not do a background check? When I heard he was the new patrolman I said to mutual friends its only a matter of time before he or someone gets hurt because he has no business carrying a gun.

  10. I really don't think they are doing "real" background checks on the people they are letting roam the streets with guns. If they were, Timothy Ryan Byrd wouldn't be a Lumberton police officer, but the fact that Byrd resigned after a questionable offence, is proably why Hobson wanted him in the first place.
