Thieves In The Temple : ANOTHER Stolen Election
Here we go again. I was hoping against hope that the special election to fill the seat vacated by David Kent Crider would be free of any corruption but it seems that’s not going to be the case. I guess when the Geritol Gang got away with stealing a mayoral election, they loved the taste of blood. Just moments ago, I was informed that people were congratulating Johnnie Buckley on becoming the new alderman of Ward 1and there were saying he was getting sworn in on Monday, February 1, 2016. I was like, hold the presses, there were others that submitted paperwork to run for that position. So, how in the corrupt government of Lumberton is he getting sworn in without an election?
Well, I’m glad you asked that question. It seems that the Lumberton Election Commissioner, Linda Martin, has decided that the other candidate didn’t get enough signatures from Ward 1 residents to qualify to run for the position. Keep in mind, that Martin didn’t contact the other candidate until today, from the telephone at city hall to inform the other candidate of this matter but somehow, others are already planning a parade for Johnnie Buckley. When calling city hall, they said that “no one is getting sworn in Monday” but they refused to answer if Buckley was getting sworn in on Tuesday or any other day of the week without an actual election. According to Mississippi Ann. Code 23-15-361
"signatures must be from qualified electors [registered voters]."Now, Martin is saying the signature sheet must be signed by residents of the specific ward. If that was the case, then how did I qualify to run for Alderman of Ward 3 a couple of years ago. Most of the people that signed my qualifying papers were not from Ward 3 but I was qualified to run, by Linda Martin, and my name was placed on the ballot. Interesting. I guess the rules are changed to suit the need at the moment.
Since the special election in December of 2015, we have learned that there’s nothing these people won’t do to stack the deck and steal an election. I know people weren’t interested when Crider classified the affidavit voters as felons, Mary Slaughter improperly discarded ballots in the women’s restroom, poll workers and the election commissioner allowed people no longer living in Lumberton to vote and Merlene Wall blatantly interfered with the election process, but here they are doing it again because they know the citizens of Lumberton are not going to do anything about it. How corrupt do they have to become before you begin to question what’s going on? Josef Stalin said
“Those who cast the votes decide nothing. Those who count the votes decide everything.”Here we are again, another stolen election to ensure nothing changes at city hall. If this don’t get your attention, I don’t know what will.
