Smokin' That Purp

We are living in the age of political correctness. This generation has put a spin on sin in an effort to make it look better. We no longer call it having a baby out of wedlock; it's unplanned pregnancy. Fornicators are a thing of the past. Today, it's called pre-marital sex. There are no more homosexuals and lesbians; they are just living an alternative lifestyle. It's no longer called embezellment when money and services are being stolen; it's creative book-keeping. And this is my favorite, the manufacturing of a controlled substance is now referred to as supplemental income. Everyday, I am amazed by the spin that is being put on certain types of behavior. We can continue to skirt the issues that are plaguing this city, but until the citizens of Lumberton come forth and demand accountability, they will continue to go on. This board is not the first board to disregard the input of the citizens; this has been going on since the Cooley adminstration. Greg Cooley's administration gave us a glimpse of what happens when self-serving individuals serve as our aldermen. They showed us that the voices of the citizens do not matter; that their personal agendas trump those of the voting public. Edmund Burke said that "those that don't know their history are doomed to repeat it." Sadly, we are having a deja vu moment with our current set of elected officials. Again, self-serving politics has set the stage for the City of Lumberton. There have been several accusations about the mismanagement of funds, favortism to certain business owners and a total disregard for the law. But a full, comprehensive audit would settle these matters and help the city start out with a clean slate. A comprehensive audit would settle ALL acusations and put an end to rumors of mismanagement of funds and accounts. So, the question I would like for you to ponder is Why are our aldermen so afraid of having a comprehensive audit? Contact your representative and see how they respond to your request for a comprehensive audit. The post was supposed to be about the influence of controlled substances, but I think the thirst for power has the majority of our board members (VWI) voting while intoxicated.

Next you're gonna tell us your working on the Committee to Re-Elect Ben Winston. Come back to us. We need you. I'll be good, I promise. I know people want you to think that they are not reading this blog, and that don't matter. You know people are reading, why else would that old mad get up during a board meeting and talk about your blog. Give us what we want. We, I, love your blog because of the realness of your post. Don't get all soft on us now. Give us the hard core truth, and we'll sort out the pieces later. The ball is now in your court.

    I agree with you 100% all the citizens of Lumberton should Call . Make them answer for how they vote and ask them if they are against it why? are they hideing something? that should be the ONLY reason that they would be against it.

    Bobby Gibson is so fake, I don't know about him drinking or pouring out other people's drinks, but I do know about his son buying beer at the County Line for these kids around Lumberton and everybody know about this boy fooling around with girls that are still in high school. I know he looks like a smurf, but he's a grown ass man and they think it's acceptable for him to be sexing little girls. Like father, like son,

I called this post the pills and potions edition because after looking at the budget that was presented; it's obvious this board is overdosing on something. I can't tell where any real cuts were made to the budget; it seems the same. The fact that the board paid Richard Rose $1, 600 to prepare this budget is a joke. Why do we have a city clerk if she cannot prepare a budget? What is she doing all day other than reading the Lumberton Informer or thinking of her next lie? The board claimed that Richard Rose was doing this out of the goodness of his heart, that he knew the City of Lumberton was not in a position to pay him. So, rather than charging the normal going rate for an embattled city manager that was allegedly terminated for not reporting to work and other matters; Rose decided he will charge the fiscally challenged City of Lumberton a mere $1,600 and a motorcycle. Stealing Elections: Lumberton Style

Last night when I went to the Ben Barrett Voting Center to watch the counting of the vote, I entered the building about 10 minutes before the polls closed and the picture above is what I saw. Throughout the day, many people expressed their concerns that the poll workers didn't match the demographics of the City of Lumberton. I shrugged it off after someone texted me, assuring me that the election was going to be fair. Well, that was not the case. Later in the day, a voter came to me with evidence that the votes had been compromised. They gave me two torn affidavit ballots that were torn up and thrown in the trash in the women's restroom at the voting center. Interesting. There was another person that came to me about the conversation they overheard between Cora Rogers and her mother, Voncile Richardson. It seems that Ms. Voncile wanted to cast a vote for me but her daughter, Cora Rogers, instructed her to mark the ballot for Kent Crider. Interesting. Last

Kim Rogers: A Phenomenal Woman

I've always said that I don't offer balance throughout this blog. It seems that most of the focus is placed on the bad things or more gossipy topics, but I think today is a good day to give credit where credit is due. I know she don't do what she do for attention or accolades but I would like to tip my hat to Mrs. Kim Rogers, founder of the KeKe B Foundation. Kim, like many other women of our community, is a testament to the power of hop, courage and resilience of a loving mother. I don't know how she does it but she has chosen to take a stand when others would have buckled under pressure. Her dedication and courage has touched so many people in so many ways. The work she's doing through the KeKe B Foundation will be a beacon for many generations to come and the she many never realize the impact her courage has made in the lives of others.
