The Number to Call

In case you didn't know, the police department no longer has a cell phone. When officers were out on patrol, they had a cell phone number where citizens could call and report incidents that were happening. The latest report shows that the police department cell phone may have been given to a family member of the former chief, Dennis Hobson. Whatever the case may be, the police department does not have a city-paid cell phone. So, if you have to call the police department, it would be best to call the Purvis dispatch. One officer said it was better to call the Purvis dispatch because they would get the message immediately. As always, if there's an emergent situation, call 911 otherwise, call 601-794-8610.
