The Bermuda Triangle of Justice

Today there were news cars all over Lumberton. Later, I saw where WDAM posted a story about an alleged shooting in the parking lot of the Shell Station that occurred in December. It seems that the police are now looking for help from the citizens. Now, I know I think differently from others but generally, evidence is gathered right after the event in order to be more credible. It’s a month later and the citizens of Lumberton are just hearing about this incident but keeping people from hanging out in a vacant parking lot is more substantive to certain Lumberton Police officers than an actual shooting and impersonation of an officer. Who knows? If the group that used to hang out at the Shell station were permitted to hang out, they probably would have had more details that could have led to a possible arrest of “Officer Bad-a**.”

A few weeks ago, someone in boxed me about the December incident but I was preparing for an election challenge and didn’t want to deal with the management of the Shell Station; Lumberton’s Bermuda Triangle of Justice. It seems that whatever goes wrong at Shell can easily get covered up; whether it’s a stealing alderman or a shooting in the parking lot. For some reason, in this Age of Technology, no one managed to get a photo of the perpetrator or the car tag. I’ve received other reports of illegal activity taking place at the Shell station but I was also informed that if you give the manager a little hush change, she will look the other way. Well, that was proven when she, for some reason, charged Hugh J. McGraw a fine for stealing a lighter in return for not pressing charges. What else is going on that’s getting the blind eye treatment for some pocket change? It’s also interesting that the police department never alerted the public about the incident but I guess public safety isn’t a priority. I guess we can tune in to WDAM and WHLT tonight to find out what’s happening in Lumberton.

    There's a lot of things covered up in Lumberton including stealing elections. What ever happened to the investigation into the Tahoe wreck on Myrick when the kids were in the truck? What about the officer taking underage girls behind the Lumberton hospital? No wonder he don't want anyone hanging out at the Shell station. What about the officer that was on his phone when he had that wreck on Myrick? Did they pull his cellphone records or a drug test? I guess not since he's home drawing workman's comp and no one asking for a FCE. Who's looking the other way when they're selling drugs at Chevron and hiding it in pizza boxes? And yes you can break the law at Shell if you pay the manager or let her son slide so he can make it to football practice.

    This is pure bullshit. I don't believe the story as reported. This is staged so Lamar County can take over the LPD.

    Sounds to me like this story is all the information you need to crack open your examination of what specifically is going on around here. I think it's pretty funny that some of you think the police are actually on our side, or on anyone else's side, in this town. Do you really think they are not involved in what's going on? Open your eyes.

    I'm still shocked that it took a month for this to reach the public. Now this is news. What's going on? I know there's no police in Lumberton but this happened Christmas Eve and we're just finding out about it? Why? Are they hiding evidence? I watched the news and several people witnessed the assault but no one took down a tag number or pulled out a cellphone. I guess the good news is Mayor Kent Crider is going to get Lamar County to take over the Lumberton Police Department next month.

    Officer "Bad Ass" now has a name and has been released from duty after turning himself in to the Jones County Junior College Police force. Michael Walker confessed after the video was released on WDAM yesterday.

    Rumor has it, that the officer involved in the Christmas Eve incident in Lumberton ( Michael Walker ) reportedly used to be on the Lumberton Police force. A confession with no arrest ? Sounds like yet another chapter added to The Bermuda Triangle of Justice. Bad Boys Bad Boys. Watcha gonna DO ?

    I'm sure Kent Ceider was not pleased that this case was solved. Now it's going to be a little grader for Mayor Crider to fire Chief Cowart. I guess they'll do it during executive session like they did when they took her take home car from her and she gad to call someone to take her home.

I called this post the pills and potions edition because after looking at the budget that was presented; it's obvious this board is overdosing on something. I can't tell where any real cuts were made to the budget; it seems the same. The fact that the board paid Richard Rose $1, 600 to prepare this budget is a joke. Why do we have a city clerk if she cannot prepare a budget? What is she doing all day other than reading the Lumberton Informer or thinking of her next lie? Stealing Elections: Lumberton Style

Last night when I went to the Ben Barrett Voting Center to watch the counting of the vote, I entered the building about 10 minutes before the polls closed and the picture above is what I saw. Throughout the day, many people expressed their concerns that the poll workers didn't match the demographics of the City of Lumberton. I shrugged it off after someone texted me, assuring me that the election was going to be fair. Well, that was not the case. Later in the day, a voter came to me with evidence that the votes had been compromised. They gave me two torn affidavit ballots that were torn up and thrown in the trash in the women's restroom at the voting center. Interesting. There was another person that came to me about the conversation they overheard between Cora Rogers and her mother, Voncile Richardson. Kim Rogers: A Phenomenal Woman

I've always said that I don't offer balance throughout this blog. It seems that most of the focus is placed on the bad things or more gossipy topics, but I think today is a good day to give credit where credit is due. I know she don't do what she do for attention or accolades but I would like to tip my hat to Mrs. Kim Rogers, founder of the KeKe B Foundation. Kim, like many other women of our community, is a testament to the power of hop, courage and resilience of a loving mother. I don't know how she does it but she has chosen to take a stand when others would have buckled under pressure. Her dedication and courage has touched so many people in so many ways. The work she's doing through the KeKe B Foundation will be a beacon for many generations to come and the she many never realize the impact her courage has made in the lives of others.
