Crider: Water Rates Will Rise Again...He Promise

True to form, Crider is getting ready to show his appreciation for selecting him as the Mayor of Lumberton by raising water rates. According to Crider, the proposed water rate increase is due to an audit but if the increase is more than five-ten cents then it’s to cover the defaulted accounts created by Merlene Wall, city clerk. As I have stated and will continue to state until those blinded by the truth open their eyes, the City of Lumberton is operating from the WSOM account not the general fund. Merlene, through permission from the board members, have completely mangled the accounts because she’s incapable of comprehending the concepts of BBI; despite the continuous cost of training at the expense of the citizens of Lumberton. What that old saying, you can’t teach an old dog new tricks and she’s proven time and time again that she’s a flea bag that’s riddled with the mange and in need of an oil dip.

Last week, there was much ado about nothing because someone thought I said I attended the meeting and the “white’s only” reception for Johnny Buckley. There’s news happening every day with photos and videos from around the world but there’s a small sect in Lumberton that think I have to be at an event to know what’s going on. The pictures they posted to protest my claim that the reception was “white’s only” proved me correct. Oops, they managed to get a photo of one of Buckley’s buddies from Big K standing by the refrigerator. What a show of diversity! (sarcasm intended) So, if a blogger does not attend the meeting was there any progress made in the City of Lumberton?

Well, according to the article in the Hattiesburg American, it seems that the Crider Administration has started off with violations of the Open Meetings Act. According to Kathleen Bogle, the meeting started 20 minutes late. I hope the city attorney, Lindsey Carter, wasn’t there while this blatant disregard of the law took place. (more sarcasm because I’m sure he just sat there and encouraged them to call another alderman since Cora Rogers was under the weather). Also. Crider said the proposed water rate increase was for an audit but according to Bogle, the audits for 2013, 2014 and 2015 cannot be completed because of missing information. Interesting! This never happened with Stephanie Mullings or any other city clerk. It seems that those extensive years as a manager of a tire shop are not translating into actual experience for the position of city clerk but I’m sure Kent Crider, Johnny Buckley, Hugh Jay McGraw, Cora Rogers and Tommy Dukes will do everything in their power to keep the blithering idiot on Lumberton’s payroll because they’re not really concerned about moving Lumberton forward.

In other water billing news, aside from the proposed water rate increase, it seems that Merlene Wall is turning citizens’ accounts over for collection despite the fact that the account is paid. It’s amazing that Merlene can’t tell you how much is in the budget, can’t amend a budget, approving pay raises in the middle of a fiscal year and can fully operate BBI but she has time to make sure a paid account is put on someone’s credit report, allegedly speaking, because she think she’s above questioning. If you have a water account that was established prior to 2009, it would behoove you to have you account reviewed. Unfortunately, those accounts have social security numbers and that’s not the crew you want to have access to your social security number. There has been rumors of accounts being discussed with office visitors but I realized citizen information was compromised when the account of a deceased citizen was discussed. For some reason, Cora Rogers didn’t think the person should receive a refund of the water deposit because they passed away. While the board members were trying to bring clarity to Cora’s perpetual confusion, the husband of one of the clerks was in the audience discussing the entire ordeal, including the fact that the family had applied for conservatorship before any of that information was brought up by the board members. So, the husbands either are in the office when these matters are discussed or they have some interesting pillow talk; either way, citizen information is being compromised. Other matters discussed in the Hattiesburg American will be discussed in a later blog. Please remember, once Kent Crider get the water rate increased, it will revert to the lower fee. It’s funny how easily people forget that it was Crider that insisted the number of gallons used be reduced so all households could pay a higher water rate. I hope you’re enjoying the Crider Administration so far. I can’t wait to see how much more is needed to float the general fund because the increase is not about an audit it’s to cover the wide, wrinkled, sagging arse of an inept clerk. The budget workshop should be interesting this year. I can’t wait to see how Crider will justify saying the city can’t afford this and can’t afford that but refuse to raise the millege rate in August. Oh wait, they haven’t had a budget workshop since Stephanie Mullings was terminated. Gee, another essential duty of the city clerk that Merlene cannot comprehend but she can keep up with this blog; just not her statutory duties as a city clerk. (Cue sinister laugh) Bye! Bye!

  1. Why can't this city get a good clerk? Who hired this senile fool and why won't they send granny to the nursing home? It's obvious she's incapable of doing the job. This is an at will state so there's no excuse to keep dead weight on the payroll.

  2. Get rid of that bitch Merlene. I don't trust anyone that have breast longer than their arms. Everytime you post a picture of her I see them little knobs going further down South. You know she can't run a city because she don't have enough sense to but the right bra.

  7. It's funny that an anonymous coward asked you to meet thrm at city hall. Are they going to risk taking off their hood to shove a bra down your throat? Sounds like that coward married to Melissa but why is she worried about Merlene's sagging nipples?

  8. The last mayor wanted to turn Lumberton into a lake while the current mayor want to embalm Lumberton for a wake. You closed minded people can sure pick 'em. Your city is dying because of hatred.

  9. Look at Crider and Buckley standing there like they're saying let them eat cake. I wished you had included the picture of Nikki Crider gazing at the food. I hope that gut is the result of the free pizza she's eating and not because she's reproducing again.

  10. It has begun. Lumberton is down hill from here. Every time you look around The Board and Mayor want to raise water bills to help with their mistakes. It's always on the citizens back so for people who didn't go vote can some of you pay for the increase on the water bills because you are the blame!!!!!

  11. Look at Paul I have no respect for him. His wife I thought she was a sweet person but they are just a like. I stopped going in her store because of Paul.

    1. They're alike just like Ben and Peggy are just different sides of the same coin. Peggy sweet talk the old women and take them to the store and then Ben comes in like a buzzard to steal their land and possessions. I stopped doing business with Dee Ockmond and Peggy Winston because they're just like their husbands...crooked.

    1. Research the governmental structure of Lumberton. The mayor does not have the authority to hire and fire. Merlene's miserable ass was hired by Crider, Johnson and Gibson because they didn't want qualified applicants from Lumberton to have the job. Now the swamp things on the board with the help of a couple of coons will keep her dumb ass in a position she can't understand.

    2. You have a point.

    3. Just because Miriam was Mayor doesn't mean she didn't have the say. Ben was Mayor and he had power given too him by the Board that said so did Miriam and no you don't have a point.
