Common Core and Controlled Substances: The Secret Life of a Teacher

On January 19, 2017, Ramona Ellen Bennett, second grade teacher at Lumberton Elementary School, was arrested for the sale of a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a school or church. The arrest happened almost two weeks ago, but the general public just found out about the arrest over the weekend. At the time of this blog post, the school administrative office was closed but I'm interested to know if she is still employed by the Lumberton School District? As you know, certain people that commit crimes in Lumberton are given a pass. Perhaps she was selling the drugs on her lunch break or after school. The City of Lumberton Board of Aldermen used that analogy to justify Danny Davis's assault against me. They said they were not liable because he was a salaried employee and the assault happened on his lunch break (at 9:30 in the morning). As soon as the office open, I will call to see if she was at least suspended after getting charged with the sale of a controlled substance.

I had the misfortune of meeting Ms. Bennett during a parent teacher conference. Prior to the election, she told her students that their parents shouldn't vote for Hilary Clinton because she killed babies. I was there with the grandparent of one of the students and during the meeting, Bennett cried a river of tears and gave a weak apology. The principle didn't seem to care one way or the other and said she would take action regarding the teacher's behavior. I wonder if she's going to be so nonchalant now that the teacher has been identified as a drug dealer? Once again, this is Lumberton and certain privilege apply. I noticed there were some trying to defend her actions when others simply wanted to know if she would be reprimanded for her actions. But as long as there's clowns, coons and crooks controlling certain boards, privilege will be applied in certain circumstances. I know there are some that want to defend the actions of this drug dealer because she could have been enticed by the undercover narcotics officer. Whatever the case may be, she should not be teacher impressionable little children. Just for the record, we all know that there's more drug deals going down in the parking lots of Family Dollar and Dollar General than on Myrick and North 10th Street but your bias won't let you admit the truth.
