Lumberton Board Meeting Tonight
The regularly scheduled meeting of the mayor and board of aldermen is tonight at 6:00. I don't know who will attend, but it's time for citizens to come out and see for themselves. There is a public hearing tonight regarding the budget for FY 2012. I don't know how the board is planning on making up for the loss in personal property, but there is a shortfall of $1,341,550. Last year, Bobby Gibson was adamant about making cuts to the budget of the police department, but now that his puppet has taken over the department he seems to be flip-flopping (lying) about making any cuts to a department that is eating up almost half of the city's budget. Interesting. Over the last few weeks, there have been several issues with the police department. For some reason, the people that are hired are not undergoing a through background check, and we have law-breakers patrolling the streets of Lumberton, but that might have been Hobson's purpose in the first place. I've talked about this until I'm blue in the face, and you know that's a difficult task for a black man, but I will share some of the comments that readers left regarding the sad state of the city we call Lumberton.
One reader stated the following: "Everybody showed up like the Klan at a lynching when they thought Franklin was going to be named chief. Where yall a@@%@ at now? Somewhere hiding now that you know Franklin was doing his job, even though he acted like an a@@. But you got somebody now that is your worse nightmare.
Do like Jonathan said, show up at the next board meeting like you showed up with Franklin. Hobson going to set you up and have his men pull guns on you.
Daniel was suspended with pay when he gave out private information to a citizen. What the he$$ is up with this. You get kicked out when you try to do a good service and operate within the law, but you get to wear the chief badge when you threaten, bully, and break the law. It is not the board fault, it is we the people sitting on our asses doing nothing.

Write your board, write your mayor, write the county supervisors, write your state representatives, write the attorney general, write the county sheriff, write your judges in our district, write the Meridian papers, write the Meridian news station, write the people that govern law enforcement, write the papers, write the damn governor if you have too! I agree with you Jonathan, tonight with my on eyes I saw Chief Hobson trying to bully the young female Officer Tara Johnson into signing some paper and she was telling him she had not read it. If this so called chief can do it to his own people what do you think he will do to us.
ReplyDeleteWhy Hobson trying to get Johnson to sign a illegal policy he need to be worried about being prosecuted for filing a false insurance claim when his son wreck his Nissan Maxima on Hwy 11 and he covered it up because he did the accident his self. Or better yet what about the weapon that belonged to the city of Lumberton and he claimed it got stolen from his apartment, but has failed to give the Board of Alderman a police report. Bet its in some pawn shop! Once a thief always a thief! Look what he did in Meridian!! Thief! Thief! Thief! But that's the kind of chief that Gibson, Crider, Johnson and Hale wanted! "Chief Hobson the Thief!! Dirty to the core just like them. Gibson takes beer off a man at the Shell station like he is the police and takes it home and drinks it and wanna be somebodies deacon! Ha! Joke!, Hale can come to City Hall and Board Meetings drunk as a skunk! She probaly be high of that weed her Husband was growing cuz you best believe he got more growing somewhere else! Crider can jump in his paddy wagon and ride around town without his seatbelt on and disrespect the Mayor like he is some big bad ass and think no one is going to say anything! Big ass need to go take a bath and get some of that filt off of his big behind! Can't say to much about Johnson other than he likes to throw rocks and hide his hand and suppose to be a man of God! More like hypocrite!!! And dont leave out the big whale that is taking the city of Lumberton's cash!! Just like her buddy Hobson! And thats all they are because Hobson dont want no Big Fat Nasty woman! Ask him City Clerk!! Lol!! All these hypocrite's think that they can do whatever they want and get away with it! But their day is coming sooner than they think!! And its going to be great to see these miserable bastard (Hobson, Gibson, Crider, Johnson, Mullings and Hale) get exactly what they deserve!! And someone is gone get on here and defend all these crooks like always but who really give a rusty 2 cents! I'm gone keep posting everything I know about these crooks and dont care who likes it!!
