Fret Not. . .
The events that took place yesterday were more than an attack on you; it was an attack on the City of Lumberton and Hobson filed charges against you with the blessing and approval of Bobby Gibson and Timothy Johnson. I don't know what's going on, but you are trying to use the law to fight against the injustices that are taking place at city hall while they're willing to break laws to fight against you and reform. I know we, as a city, were not there when you had to endure the degrading process of being fingerprinted and photographed, but now, we have the opportunity to step it up and show you that we're not going to allow them to continue to drag our city through the mud. There are groups of white men, everyone from doctors to dropouts, meeting at Hank Vann's office under the guise of the Lion's Club so they can take back their city. I want to know where the black men are and why they're not supporting Mayor Holder. Aside from Alderman Rogers, our mayor does not have any support on the panel of elected officials or department heads. It's time for the men of our community to step up and respect that level of sisterhood that's been holding up our neighborhood. If it wasn't for our mothers there would be no brothers and if it wasn't for our sisters there would be no misters. Mayor Holder is strong and that's a fact; now it's time for us to take up the slack.
Mayor Miriam Holder wears so many hats. She's a daughter, sister, aunt, mother, grand-mother, teacher and most importantly, friend. Selfishly, I want you to stay and fight. Fight to clear you name, fight to clear the crooks out of city hall, fight to bring business to this town, but I know that you also have a family. Although, I want you there, I also realize that you have family that needs you. I don't know what decision you will make regarding the things that took place, but I hope you do what's best for you and your family. I know that Hobson, Gibson, Johnson, and Mullings would be ecstatic if you were to resign, but your resignation not put an end to the chaos that is taking place in the City of Lumberton. Just as I told you yesterday, fret not because of evil doers . . . You are here on a mission. Keep in mind that, just like Esther, you have been created for such a time as this.
Whatever your decision, I pledge to you, my friend I will never cease. I mean to say I want to see a better Lumberton. I want to see some peace. I want to see some honesty, some fair play. I want to see kindness and justice. This is what I want to see and I want to see it through my eyes and through your eyes, Mayor Miriam R. Holder.
I'm praying for you Mayor Holder. I don't know what's wrong with the voters in Lumberton. It seems that they come after anyone that they're threatened by. What do people think they will do next? It's great to vote, but your duties don't end with a vote. You must show up at meetings, show up a court and let them know that you are not pleased with what's going on in Lumberton. Don't wait for this blog to tell you this or that, don't sit on the corner, on facebook and at church just talking about it. And that's another thing, it's time out for these churches to keep holing their monthly fund-raisers (programs) and not getting involved in what's going on in the city. There's a church on every corner, but the corner/city is not changing. Stop having programs and get with the program.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what they thought they were going to accomplish by having the mayor arrested; especially on a misdemeanor, but if your goal was to make Lumberton look even worse, the congratulations Hobson, you succeeded. I have been talking with relatives in Chicago, Atlanta, Memphis and Washington that wanted to know what's going on, there was even talk about Lumberton on a nationally syndicated radio program this morning and Tim Johnson think they're going to be able to attrack business with all of this mess. Why don't you and your father-in-law focus on fixing up the roads in your community first before you go and say you're working on brining business to this town.
ReplyDeleteI'm praying for Mayor Holder but I'm also praying for the aldermen. It gets hotter in hell than it does in L'ton. Mayor Holder stay strong and follow your heart. If you do resign, which I hope you don't. Bobby and Tim will see where they stand then. NOWHERE.
ReplyDeleteIf the mayor was showing her ass to get this felon now not student on scholarship off a commercial burglary charge she should of went to jail.even the paper had she said he has a ball game!!!! please now thats some shit.
ReplyDeleteWhere is the other side of the story. Hattiesburg American made it look like she wanted to have her nephew released so he could play football. Where is the obstruction of justice if he's still in jail?
ReplyDeleteThere's this big theory that Hobson is what Lumberto need b/c Fortenberry was covering up for people. WOW. Bobby Gibson has been interferring with the police department since getting on the board, so why wasn't charges filed against him? Since Hobson been in that position he's managed to get some parking violation. I feel safer already. What else? Oh, he's managed to get his that bedbug he's sleeping with to file a stalking charge against one of his officers, and that was after Fortenberry left, so I guess Adrien wasn't covering that one up. Oh, he has a motorcycle cop that don't have a motorcycle endorsement on his license. And is he still a chubby chaser, because I haven't seen him with our city clerk lately?
ReplyDeleteWhy should black men support Miriam -- because she's black? Aren't most of the Lumberton board members black as well? If so, how are her epic battles with the board solely the result of racial strife? Why shouldn't anyone, black or white, want to take the city back when it's in the economic toilet and a state laughing stock? Lumberton has no tax base -- just retirees and people on welfare -- and its leaders are crying because they think they've been personally disrespected. I grew up with the people who are throwing around these charges of racism -- on both sides -- and you were not at each others' throats like this just a few years ago. If something has changed, you can find it in the mirror.
ReplyDeleteI hope people are paying close attention of what is really going on. Obstruction of justice is what Mayor Holder was arrested for! Now obstruction of justice means in United States jurisdictions, refers to the crime of interfering with the work of police, investigators, regulatory agencies, prosecutors, or other (usually government) officials. Now if Mayor Holders nephew was already in jail and the question to Stupid ass Hobson was why haven't he had a initial appearance? Can someone explain how that is obstruction of justice on Mayor Holders part? If he was a white boy and not Mayor Holders nephew, Hobson would have called Judge Stewart and got a initial done over the phone like its always been done. Obstruction of justice is when Hobson's son wreck his car on Hwy 11 and he did the accident report his self to defraud the insurance company. Obstruction of justice is when he went to Oak Grove in a Lumberton Police Department vehicle and threaten a black woman and her children because his son was in somebody else's business. He doen't work for Lamar County he was just living there! Was living there as I said he got evicted just like he was staying in Efram Torres house and got put out because he didnt want to pay to stay! Ask Hobson why Judge Stewart didn't sign his warrant! Hobson was a crook when he came to Lumberton and gone be a crook when he leaves. His son has already tried to kill his dumb ass and now City Hall is his sons daycare. I thought that's what school was for. Why he dont he have him in school and he brings him to Lumberton everyday to stay so Stephanie can babysit him!! Hobson! Hobson! Hobson! Thief, Woman beater, Child Abuser, Thief, Con Artist, Homeless, Ass Kisser, Racist! He is nothing and as long as Lumberton keep that nothing employed its gone be worse than it already is! Lumbert citizens its time to stand up against these idiots. They think they did some because they had Mayor Holder arrested! Ha! Just made it better for her because she is a Strong, Educated, Loving, Career Mined daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, niece and friend to many! We will not rest until justice is served and all those crooked ass cops (Hobson), board members (Gibson, Crider, Hale and Johnson) and especially that fat ass city clerk (Stephanie Mullings) is put up out the City of Lumberton the legal way! As Mr. Informer said Mayor Holder "FRET NOT"!!
ReplyDeleteAre any of you aware that Dennis Hobson himself is or has been accused of the crimes of forgery and domestic violence??? When he was on the force in Meridian he had more than one charge of domestic violence and a charge of forgery. SOOOOOOO, Police chief dont throw rocks sir. Listed below is his name on the jail docket. You might also notice that the good chief goes by Daren D. Hobson in Meridian. Good luck!!!
